AKEFA Warm Edge Spacer Passed Independent IFT Rosenheim Test, Compliant with European Standards

AKEFA warm edge spacer has successfully passed professional testing conducted by ift Rosenheim (Institut für Fenstertechnik e.V.), the most authoritative independent testing institute for windows, facades and insulating glass in Europe. Test reports issued by ift Rosenheim are widely recognized by architects, IG manufacturers and certification authorities across European countries.

The test was carried out in strict accordance with ift guidelines WA-08/3 & WA-17/1, aligned with core European standards EN 1279 and EN ISO 10077. Key parameters including equivalent thermal conductivity, linear thermal transmittance (Ψ-value), weathering resistance and sealing compatibility have been fully verified. All test results confirm that AKEFA warm edge spacer meets European requirements for thermally improved warm edge systems.

Compared with conventional aluminium spacer bars, AKEFA warm edge spacer effectively minimises thermal bridging at the edge of insulating glass units, prevents condensation and frosting along glass edges, and helps lower overall window U-value for energy-efficient buildings.
